Gregory Plotkin To Direct ‘Paranormal Activity 5’

paranormal-activity

After stints editing and co-producing the previous films in the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY franchise, Gregory Plotkin is finally going to get to sit in the director’s chair for PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5.

Plotkin has worked on the found-footage horror series since 2009, and he’s also involved in upcoming spin-off PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES  (2014). Plotkin’s CV is filled with other editorial work, including FRACTURE (2007) and THE BREAK UP (2006).

However, next year will show what Plotkin can bring to the horror franchise. No plot details have been released yet, but we can make a confident prediction that it’ll involve found-footage. Will it be enough to revitalise the series though? We’ll have to wait till next October to find out.

Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.

Wow! I can’t believe they managed to wring 5 movies (in no more than 5 years) out of this total Blair Witch ripoff! Meanwhile, geniuses like Terry Gilliam have a hard time trying to get each new project greenlighted…
