21 JUMP STREET was easily one of the funniest films of 2012 when it pleasantly surprised everyone who thought it would be another needless remake. Sony Pictures were quick to announce a sequel to the hit film and now 22 JUMP STREET has begun production with both Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum reprising their roles. Little is known about the plot other than what the press release states:

‘In the action-comedy 22 JUMP STREET, after making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college’.

As you can see Sony Pictures aren’t revealing too much other than what was already known from the end of the first film, however we do know that Ice Cube will return to reprise his role and Amber Stevens recently signed up to play Schmidt’s love interest in the sequel. Returning directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (THE LEGO MOVIE) have also released the first production photo for the film which can be seen below:

The film stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube and Amber Stevens, with a release date set for 13th June 2014. We’ll update you with any additional news and casting announcements that come our way.
