Nicole Kidman To Star In Book Blockbuster ‘The Silent Wife’

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman is to star in the forthcoming adaptation of best-selling novel The Silent Wife. The 2013 page turner is both author A.S.A. Harrison’s breakout book and swansong as she died just a few months before publication.

The story centres on a marriage wrecked by adultery and deceit, leading eventually to a murderous and shocking conclusion. Kidman also plans to produce the feature. Her production company Blossom Films had notable success with 2010’s RABBIT HOLE, in which Kidman also starred.

The Australian actress is currently attached to Werner Herzog’s QUEEN OF THE DESERT after replacing Naomi Watts in the leading role of famous explorer Gertrude Bell. She also stars in upcoming WWII drama THE RAILWAY MAN, with ladies’ favourite Colin Firth.

Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
