New Footage In Epic TV Spots For ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’

Dreading another woeful TWILIGHT-styled Young Adult novel franchise, I was pleasantly by Gary Ross’ adaptation of Suzanne Collins novel THE HUNGER GAMES. I had no idea what to expect having not read any the books, but aside from a silly computer-generated dog and a serious lack of blood, the first film was certainly gripping. Next month sees Jennifer Lawrence return to her signature role of bow-carrying heroine Katniss Everdeen in sequel CATCHING FIRE and I’m eager to see how the events play out ahead of the brewing rebellion against the Capitol and President Snow (Donald Sutherland).

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of thedistricts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

Check out these brand new and epic television spots from the film hitting theatres from the 22nd November! You may also want to check out the first clip if you missed it!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
