HORTON HEARS A WHO director Jimmy Hayward’s return to animation could almost be a wishful-thinking biopic. His feathery lead characters, voiced by Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson, attempt to travel back in time to take turkey off the Thanksgiving menu. Of course, that “turkey” I’m referring to is Hayward’s live-action disaster JONAH HEX and how I’m sure he’d like to wipe that film from his resume. I know I’d like to wipe it from my memory (despite such ace talent as Brolin, Malkovich and Fassbender).
FREE BIRDS has Wilson and Harrelson as Turkey’s from opposite sides of the tracks who must put aside their differences after finding a way to venture way back into the past and change the course of history. The two A-listers are joined by the hilarious Amy Poehler, who guides us through this first featurette. We’ve also added the first two clips and television spot.
FREE BIRDS hits the US 1st November and the UK on the 29th November.
