Craig Roberts Joins ’22 Jump Street’

Life’s been rather good to 22 year-old Craig Roberts. After impressing in Richard Ayoade’s 2010 indie comedy, SUBMARINE, the Welsh actor has been earning his stripes on both the big and small screen. However, he now has cause for even bigger celebration after being added to the cast of highly anticipated sequel, 22 JUMP STREET.

Although plot details are sparse, we know Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will be going undercover once more, this time at college. The young actor is reportedly set to play a supporting character called Spencer who, alongside Wyatt Russell (son of Kurt and Goldie Hawn), would be safe to assume is a student the cops come across whilst returning to education.

With 21 JUMP STREET raking in a worldwide gross of over $202 million, this is a significant move for Roberts that will see him becoming far more recognisable to mainstream audiences alongside his upcoming work in Nicholas Stoller’s ensemble comedy, NEIGHBOURS (formerly TOWNIES).

22 JUMP STREET is set for a June 2014 release, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller once again on directorial duties.
