Jackson & Robbie Set To Join Waltz & Skarsgard In David Yates’ ‘Tarzan’

Samuel L Jackson Oldboy

With pre-production on Warner Bros.’ big screen adaptation of the vine-swinging hero TARZAN back up and running following budgetary concerns, casting is beginning to fall into place. True Blood heartthrob Alexander Skarsgard is already confirmed as Edgar Rice Burroughs’ literary title character alongside two-time oscar-winner Christoph Waltz as the villain. HARRY POTTER’s frequenter David Yates is directing.

Now we’re hearing Samuel L. Jackson is currently in talks for a role thought to be a mysterious Civil War veteran looking to redeem himself following his part in a massacre of Native Americans. Also in line for Tarzan’s iconic love-interest Jane is rising Aussie beauty Margot Robbie, who will next be seen in Martin Scorsese’s THE WOLF OF WALL STREET.

Are you excited for TARZAN’s return?

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
