The brilliant director of THE PROPOSITION and LAWLESS, John Hillcoat, has his eye on three major talents for his next project known as TRIPLE NINE. The ruthless crime thriller, written by Matt Cook, follows a gang of thieves with a plot to murder a cop in an effort to divert attention away from their real plan to carry out a heist on the other side of town.
Oscar-favourites Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 YEARS A SLAVE) and Michael B. Jordan (FRUITVALE STATION) have been offered the criminal mastermind and his corrupt cop partner respectively, with OUT OF THE FURNACE’s Casey Affleck set for the role of the unlucky cop. The film will also star Academy Award-winners Christoph Waltz and Cate Blanchett who had previously signed on a number of weeks ago.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
