Brie Larson and Ryan Coogler once again find themselves indie objects of affection, this time at the hands of the Austin Film Critics Society. However, it’s Spike Jonze’s HER that was the real winner, taking four prizes including Best Film and an Honourary Award for Scarlett Johansson’s vocal work. Though Larson pushed aside Cate Blanchett for Best Actress recognition, the other acting winners are exactly who you’d expect, and Alfonso Cuaron is once again named Best Director for space opus, GRAVITY.
