Watch Peter Berg’s Harrowing ‘Lone Survivor’ Come Together In Three Featurettes

BATTLESHIP was arguably the worst mainstream film of 2012, with actor-turned-director Peter Berg’s cringeworthy TRANSFORMERS rip-off even more dire than Michael Bay’s last two robotic disasters. However, with his latest actioner – the harrowing true-life war film LONE SURVIVOR – the film easily the pinnacle of Berg’s long career (read our review HERE).

LONE SURVIVOR charts the 2005 military operation of a close-knit group of US Navy SEALs who found themselves ambushed while on a covert mission. Their initial orders to take out a high-ranking al-Queada terrorist are foiled as the enemy closes in on their location near the mountains of Afghanistan. Faced with an impossible moral decision, the small band is isolated from help and surrounded by a much larger force of ruthless Taliban ready for war.  As they confront unthinkable odds together, the four men find reserves of strength and resilience as they fight for their lives.

LONE SURVIVOR stars Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Alexander Ludwig, Jerry Ferrara and Eric Bana. It’s in US cinemas now and arrives in the UK on the 31st January.
