An electric superhero buzz is in there air and right now, they’re all anyone can talk about. With that in mind, we take a small deviation in the world of myth and monsters with the supernaturally blonde and British John Constantine. Since Keanu Reeves brought him to life on the silver screen back in 2005, we haven’t seen much of him, but all of that is about to change.

Given the increase of interest into all things comic-books, John Constantine will make his television debut in the pilot NBC just ordered, which is also to be produced by The Mentalist executive producer, Daniel Cerone as well as who seems to be DC/WB’s go-to-guy when it comes to comic-books, David S. Goyer. John Constantine, for those unfamiliar with him, is an:

“Enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond”

Though Constantine is still a relatively small DC property in regards to something like Batman or Superman, make no mistake, he packs an equally powerful punch and is actually expected to make an appearance in Guillermo Del Toro’s adaptation of Justice League Dark, which is set to exist in the same universe.
