Last week we brought you news that Warner’s BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN movie had been pushed back to 2016 – and now Marvel’s ANT-MAN has been pushed up by two weeks to fill the newly vacant release date of 17th July, 2015.
Marvel’s first Phase Three film, following the culmination of Phase Two in next year’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, was originally set for release on 31st July, 2015 after moving up from an August 2015 release.
BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN, meanwhile, has moved to a 6th May, 2016 release, where it will compete with an unknown Marvel film. It’s a shame that we’ll have to wait an extra year to see Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL sequel, but at least we’ll have another superhero flick to watch that weekend (in case you’d booked it off already).
ANT-MAN is directed by Edgar Wright and stars Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas. It’s due for release on 17th July, 2015.
