As the ratings for Marvel and ABC’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D are beginning to rapidly decline from the superb start it got in September, it seems all the stops are being pulled to save the show. After Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson and Stan Lee have all made appearances on the show previously, Jaimie Alexander will be bringing her THOR character Lady Sif to the world of television.
Alexander will appear in the fifteenth episode of the shows first season as Lady Sif, who she has played twice in both THOR films. Her role is said to be ‘integral’ to the episode rather than a cameo appearance which would certainly be a waste of the brilliant actresses talents. AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D attempted a crossover with the events of THOR: THE DARK WORLD earlier in the season, however it was widely regarded as a misfire due to the vague and flimsy connection to the film. This is a chance for the show to redeem itself and create a genuine direct link to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the box office hit THOR: THE DARK WORLD released last October. This is very exciting news and I will definitely be watching Alexanders episode, after all the wonderful actress is undoubtedly one of the most underused elements of the THOR films.
