Mixed news for fans of THE GHOST IN THE MACHINE as it’s just been announced that Rupert Sanders has signed on to direct a live action adaptation of the 1995 manga comic. Joining the SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN director is scriptwriter William Wheeler, best known for THE HOAX and THE RELUCTANT FUNDAMENTALIST, but more reassuringly STEVEN SPIELBERG is slated to be executive producer.
THE GHOST IN THE MACHINE is about a convert Japanese squad who are on a mission to fight cyber-terrorism, led by cyborg Motoko Kusanagi and her partner, Batou.
