Less than two weeks ago, Quentin Tarantino announced that he dropped out of making his planned film THE HATEFUL EIGHT, after the script was leaked on the internet. The DJANGO UNCHAINED director later announced that he would be publishing it as a book and maybe, in a few years time, would think about making it into a movie again.
According to recent rumours, Tarantino fans will not have to wait indefinite years to see the script on the big screen as it’s been revealed that Tarantino plans on rewriting the script and has already approached Samuel L. Jackson about a role.
This was first noticed on the twitter page of The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider (@TheInSneider). According to Sneider, Tarantino has calmed down and is “having second thoughts about moving on”.
For those that haven’t heard about THE HATEFUL EIGHT plot (or maybe even read the script), the film follows the story of two bounty hunters who seek to bring a wanted man to justice. Taking refuge from a blizzard, the hunters and several other characters end up in a confined space for much of the film. The script has been hailed for its witty and Tarantino-esque conversation, so let’s hope that these rumours are true and that we will be enjoying the “hateful” characters on the big screen very soon.
