The recent Golden Globe nominee and Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet keeps surprising us with new films. She waltzs onto our screens this year in the barely publicised Jason Reitman movie LABOUR DAY, while her action adventure DIVERGENT is due out in March.
And what does the latest buzz say? According to sources, Winslet is in talks to join John Hillcoat’s thriller TRIPLE NINE. If this is true, Winslet will star across from a bunch of acclaimed actors including Casey Affleck, rising star Chiwetel Ejiofor, FRUITVALE STATION actor Michael B. Jordan, Aaron Paul, Gal Gadot, Teresa Palmer and Michael Pena.
Scripted by Matt Cook, the story follows a group of corrupt cops who plan a major heist. The film gets its name “Triple Nine” from the police code used when an officer needs immediate assistance.
With such a golden cast, this might just as well be the next thriller of the year.
