One film adored as a kid was SPACE JAM. It had everything from the star of a sport I never played, the best cartoon characters, and Bill Murray. Now it looks as though Warner Bros. Looney Tunes will be returning alongside an apparent star of the Basketball scene (I really know very little about sport). Lebron James (at least I recognise the name) is being touted to star with the likes of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Brothers Charlie and Willie Ebersol are developing the film with Willie writing the screenplay and Charlie producing via his company called The Company.
It’s a sequel that could work, with 18 years since the original, the plot could essentially be a remake with a a new big sports star. The fact I’ve heard of Lebron James is testament to the fact he must be a huge star, but what we really want is a Looney Tunes meets Darts. Bobby George co-starring with Bugs Bunny would be a dream.
