Watch Kristen Wiig Get Duped In Love In First ‘Hateship Loveship’ Trailer

Kristen Wiig has gone serious indie on us and by the looks of the first trailer released for HATESHIP LOVESHIP it’s a choice that’s going to work out in her favour! Throwing away her comedy roots Wiig plays a shy woman hired to take care of Nick Nolte’s granddaughter Sabitha, Hailee Steinfeld, as the family tries to come to terms with the loss of Sabitha’s mother. Guy Pearce plays her widowed father and the man who Kristen Wiig believes she is forming a relationship with, only for it to be a cruel trick played by Sabitha and friend Edith (Sami Gayle).

HATESHIP LOVESHIP is based on the short story “Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage” by Alice Munro, adapted for the screen by Mark Poirier and directed by Liza Johnson. It premiered at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival and will receive a limited release in US cinemas next month.
