‘Indiana Jones 5’ Coming, Harrison Ford May Be Recast

INDIANA JONES 5 is happening – with or without Harrison Ford, according to sources at Latino Review.

Talk of another INDIANA JONES sequel has been bandied around the web since the days of CGI gophers and nuked fridges, but nothing concrete has ever been confirmed. Now, it appears the studios have a date in mind for production to begin on the sequel, and if Ford isn’t on board by then, the character will be recast in a resurgence of the franchise.

This wouldn’t be a reboot per se, but more of a James Bond-style continuation that will allow the INDIANA JONES series to go on for years to come. There’s no confirmation on who would take Ford’s place, but the word is that the studios are looking at a number of options, and top of that list is none other than Bradley Cooper.

Frank Darabont has reportedly pitched an idea for a fourth sequel, though details are scant on exactly what that idea is. Whether Ford signs on for INDIANA JONES 5 or not, it’s unlikely he’ll be able to keep it up for much longer after that, so perhaps this route is inevitable if we want to see any more Indy action in the future.

There are, of course, those fans who would rather see the franchise allowed to die after 2008’s KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, but for those of us who actually enjoyed that instalment, this will be welcome news.

Do you want to see INDIANA JONES carry on, or should he hang up his whip for good? Let us know in the comments below.
