So far Paramount and Platinum Dunes’ live action TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES reboot has received mixed reactions from both fans and critics. After the tepid response to the companies previous efforts such as THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and Michael Bay’s own TRANSFORMERS trilogy, fans have been incredibly cautious about their upcoming turtle re-imagining.
The first teaser trailer for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES was released online late March, and it gave the world its first glimpse of Megan Fox as April O’Neil, William Fitchtner as the Shredder and, of course, our four favourite amphibians in their (giant) new forms. Now Nickelodeon, Paramount and Platinum Dunes have released four brand new posters for the upcoming film from Jonathan Liebesman (no, Michael Bay didn’t actually direct the reboot despite his prominent handprints). Check them out below!
Despite the negativity surrounding TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, I am actually cautiously optimistic as I’m a huge fan of both the previous television series and live action film adaptations. These posters also display the productions obvious visual style (which can’t be denied even by its detractors), and I’m sure I speak for the vast majority of the public when I say that my full judgement will be reserved until a full trailer is released. In the mean time we eagerly await some posters or images that really let the turtles come out of their shell.
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES stars Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Johnny Knoxville, Tony Shalhoub and Whoopie Goldberg.
