Inspiration and heartwarming overload warnings should be slapped all over this trailer for the sequel to the true story surprise hit of 2011. DOLPHIN TALE 2 follows the arrival of a new baby dolphin named Hope who no doubt needs the love and support of humans to not, you know…die! The first film had a very inspirational story in which a dolphin without a tale was cared for while a new tale was developed, so who knows how this will match up.
The trailer starts with a strong reminder of how much you loved the first film before turning into a family friendly version of the opening scene from JURASSIC PARK, which substitutes a velociraptor for a baby dolphin. There’s a bit too much heavy handed uplifting music for my liking, but who doesn’t love a bit of Morgan Freeman?
DOLPHIN TALE 2 is released 19th September in the US and 17th October in the UK. It stars Ashley Judd, Morgan Freeman, Nathan Gamble, Harry Connick Jr., and Kris Kristofferson.
