I was hesitant to reveal in that headline as to what the post credits sting in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is because it is serving more as a featured clip, rather than a tease for a future movie. Well, it is for a future movie, but one that will be with us in just a few short weeks. We saw THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 a week ago, and there was nothing attached to it, but sources over at Empire have revealed that an exclusive clip from X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will feature in prints of the film across the UK from today.
We’ve not seen it, and cannot tell you what it is, but the general concept is kinda cool as this is cross-studio marketing like we’ve not seen before. The big question is that this signal a future Sony/ Fox team up? Could Spidey and the Sinister Six be going up against the X-Men in a movie down the road? How does Marvel feel about this? Am I the only one who noticed the extra in the alleyway in The Wolverine wearing a Spider-Man cap? It’s not like it’s hidden, it’s deliberately in the shot. Maybe there is something to this and the studios may have been working on it for some time.
