For me, Vincent Chase will always be Aquaman, but there are some big rumours bouncing around the internet this weekend that Zack Snyder has cast said DC character in the planned MAN OF STEEL sequel, which we’re calling BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN (at the moment). There are two parts to this as we’re not even sure Aquaman is even in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN at this point, but the word is that CONAN THE BARBARIAN and Game Of Thrones actor Jason Momoa has officially signed on the dotted line to star in the film, AND he will play the superhero.
The source of this story is the reliable Batman-News.com, so we’re paying attention. So, Momoa as Aquaman? This is just a rumour, but what do we think?
BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN opens in 2016, and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Holly Hunter, Laurence Fishburne, Harry Lennix, Ray Fisher, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Gal Gadot and Jessie Eisenberg.

Not bad, not bad…except that Jason’s look, facial look is more akin to him playing Prince Namor the Submariner..meaning he has an “exotic” quality about him similar to Namor’s look unlike Aquaman. I always remembered Aquaman as a big golden-haired white guy…with or w/o a beard. In any case, it could work, he’s a legit 6’4″-6’5″…so he’ll be taller than Henry Cavill’s Superman

As long as he [Aquaman] is still the arrogant, hot-headed, larger than life regal prick we have come to love in the comics, I think it will be fine.
