Tim Blake Nelson Joins ‘The Fantastic Four’

Tim Blake NelsonDoing an opposite version of Chris Evans’ switcheroo, Tim Blake Nelson has moved from the Marvel Studios universe over to the world of THE FANTASTIC FOUR. 20th Century Fox’s reboot has cast Nelson as scientist Harvey Elder, a character who would later become the villainous Mole-Man. It has been stated that Nelson will only be playing Elder at this point and there is no intention of including his villainous alter-ego, who happens to have been THE FANTASTIC FOUR’s first ever villain. He joins the already cast Jamie Bell, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Toby Kebbell in CHRONICLE director Josh Trank’s reboot.

Nelson is no stranger to such a role though, as you may remember him as scientist Samuel Sterns in 2008’s THE INCREDIBLE HULK. Samuel Sterns becomes The Leader in the comic books, and the film actually ended with Sterns receiving some gamma radiation infected blood to the head causing his cranium to swell, but as of yet there appears to be no plan to further the character.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR is scheduled for release 18th June 2015 in the UK and 19th June 2015 in the US. It stars Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Toby Kebbell, Tim Blake Nelson, and Jamie Bell.
