Simon Pegg is rumoured to have filmed a short scene for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. According to IGN Middle East, Pegg has a small role in the sci-fi sequel that has already been filmed.
Rumours of Pegg making an appearance in the space epic are kind of expected. Pegg and J.J. Abrams have a friendly working relationship, the pair had teamed up on such films as; STAR TREK, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 3 and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL. It seems only right that they should reunite again.
The SHAUN OF THE DEAD star has expressed being a huge fan of the original STAR WARS trilogy, but was let down by the prequels. Pegg originally expressed his disinterest in getting involved saying, ‘I don’t think it would be appropriate for me to be in it, to be honest. I think J.J. should cast new faces with no stunt casting. I wouldn’t want to be popped out of the film by a knowing cameo. I think it would be great to do it properly.’
Little is known about Pegg’s appearance, it seems we’ll have to wait until 2015 when Star Wars: Episode VII hits theatres.
