‘Wolf Of Wall Street’ Star To Dance In Street For Scorsese/Jagger Project

PJ Byrne The Wolf Of Wall Street

PJ Byrne worked with Martin Scorsese on THE WOLF OF WALL STREET and clearly both men enjoyed the experience as Byrne has been cast in the director’s as-yet-untitled music industry pilot for HBO. It will be co-produced by the powerhouse combination of Scorsese and Mick Jagger, together with WOLF creative team Terence Winter and Emma Koskoff. Winter was also responsible for the filmmaking legend’s first move into TV drama with Boardwalk Empire and the new production has that show’s Bobby Cannavale (who is also in CHEF) in a major role as Richie Finestra, a record executive in 1970s New York. Byrne will play his business partner Scott Levitt.

As well as Byrne and Cannavale the impressive cast features Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple and Ray Romano. Shooting is looking to start in early Summer and will be a far cry from Byrne’s next movie project, ELOISE.  A tense drama about breaking into a disused asylum, it puts Byrne alongside Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl), Eliza Dushku (Buffy) and Robert Patrick (Terminator 2). The parallels between the rock ‘n roll scene and insanity are maybe not hard to spot, but either way this shows a healthy future for the up and coming actor.
