James Gunn Says No To Directing A ‘Bond’ Film

Given how much we have gushed about his latest film GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (see review), it is pretty clear than James Gunn is our director of the moment. We were fortunate enough to be in his presence as we attended the press conference, however we couldn’t quite snag a one-on-one interview.

Our friends over at new television channel London Live had more luck and spoke to Gunn about a whole host of things. They chatted London, Shepperton studios, and the films that inspired James as a boy. Top of the agenda though was would Gunn direct a Bond film should Hollywood ask? He was quick to say no, see his reasons for this in the video below:

We can’t help but be a little disappointed by Gunn’s response; Rocket Raccoon is a dab hand at gadgetry and can easily see him aiding Daniel Craig as a new Q. Sound ludicrous? Have you forgotten about the invisible car? Or better yet the fact that Madonna was allowed to be in one?

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is released tomorrow (31st July) in cinemas everywhere.
