Warner Bros. Plan Their Big Movie Schedule Up Until 2020!

Warner Brothers have just released a list of eleven key dates over the next years for releases of some of their big event movies. Granted five out of those nine are for DC releases, but what have the studio planned for those other two key dates in 2018 and 2020? First, let’s take a look.

  • Untitled DC Film – August 5, 2016
  • Untitled DC Film – June 23, 2017
  • Untitled DC Film – November 17, 2017
  • Untitled DC Film – March 23, 2018
  • Untitled DC Film – July 27, 2018
  • Untitled WB Event Film – November 16, 2018
  • Untitled DC Film – April 5, 2019
  • Untitled DC Film – June 14, 2019
  • Untitled DC Film – April 3, 2020
  • Untitled DC Film – June 19, 2020
  • Untitled WB Event Film – November 20, 2020

The key thing here is that this does not include the ‘in-production’ BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE movie as this afternoon we hear that the WB have charted that for a release on 25th March, 2016, instead of the May release which had it clash with CAPTAIN AMERICA 3. So, I guess we can assume that the above dates refer to the rumoured SHAZAM, SANDMAN, JUSTICE LEAGUE, WONDER WOMAN, GREEN LANTERN, FLASH, [stand-alone] Batman movie THE BATMAN and a proper MAN OF STEEL 2.There is of course sequel(s) to JUSTICE LEAGUE to think about too.

The other question is what will be these two big ‘event’ movies for 2018 and 2020. SlashFilm have got the internet abuzz with talk of two new Harry Potter movies, and potentially a cinematic splitting of the planned FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM novel from J.K. Rowley. As we said, this is purely speculation at present, but very interesting all the same.
