After the announcement a few months ago that Thea Sharrock would be directing the adaptation of Jojo Moyes’ Me Before You, it seems the adaptation now has its Will and Lou in the shape of Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke.
Moyes took to Twitter to announce the news. She was particularly excited about the casting of Clarke, it seems, tweeting ‘She is WONDERFUL. My dream Lou.’ and ‘I HAVE THE KHALEESI!’.

Clarke is of course better known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones while Claflin is known more for his role as Finnick Odair in THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE and this November’s THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART ONE.
The romantic, emotional and powerful book about a man and woman who meet when she is hired to be his carer has proven incredibly popular with readers. Only time will tell whether the film will have the same impact.
