Are you a fan of eighties cinema? If you are then a film called National Lampoon’s Vacation should score pretty high on your list of faves from the glorious decade. Well, the guys over at New Line Cinema are planning to reboot the classic Chevy Chase movie.
Word comes from Variety this morning stating that the studio have hired Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley to pen a screenplay for a new take on the series, revolving around Clark Griswold’s son Rusty. The now grown Rusty decides to take his own wife and kids on a road trip to Wally World before it closes forever. Wally World was the Griswold’s destination in the first movie in the series.
Word is that Chevy Chase is all set to reprise his role as Clark in the new take. Look out for the comedy legend in the upcoming Hot Tub Time Machine, which is due in cinemas later this year.
