In another THN exclusive, here’s a look at the very first poster for the upcoming British action film AGE OF KILL. The film stars Martin Kemp, Nick Moran, Patrick Bergin, Dexter Fletcher, Phil Davis, Bruce Payne and Dani Dyer. Quite the cast.
Here’s the intriguing plot.
Sam Blake (Martin Kemp) is running out of time. Living in the shadow of a botched mission that claimed an innocent victim, the disgraced special ops sniper is plunged into a world of darkness when his daughter (Dani Dyer) is taken hostage by a mysterious terrorist. Out of options and with no one to turn to, Blake is forced to carry out their evil bidding and must assassinate six seemingly random targets within six hours on the streets of London. As chaos reigns and the body count rises, the city’s fragile political climate is threatened. If shattered, the consequences would be catastrophic. With his old unit closing in and his daughter at the mercy of a psychopath, every second counts.
TAKEN with a British flavour? We’re getting that kind of vibe from that synopsis, and as long as we’re talking the original TAKEN with loads of balls to the wall action and not the diluted flavour from that film’s series of poor sequels, then we’re on to a winner.
The film comes to the screen from producer Jonathan Sothcott (WE STILL KILL THE OLD WAY) and is directed by Neil Jones (THE REVEREND, DERANGED) from a script by Simon Cluett. It will be released through Anchor Bay in the UK later this year (we’re hearing the 15th June theatrically).
