It’s the first time I’d heard that the well-received BBC series had hit the film side of things but SPOOKS: THE GREATER GOOD gets its first trailer today and we’ve also got the new posters for you!
For me ‘the greater good‘ just reminds me of HOT FUZZ, so it’s a strange sub-title to go with but I guess they wanted to incorporate the Spooks reminder to fans already in the know. In the film version, terrorist Adam Qasim (Elyes Gabel) escapes from MI5 custody during a high profile handover, and the legendary Harry Pearce (Peter Firth – From BBC’s Spooks), Head of Counter-terrorism, is blamed.
As he’s forced into resigning, no-one’s surprised when Harry disappears one night off a bridge into the Thames but with MI5 going to the dogs, former agent Will Holloway (Kit Harington) is brought back from Moscow to uncover the truth they feared – Harry’s still alive. He’s gone rogue, and needs Will’s help. Ba, ba, baaa!
