Korean Folk-Music Drama ‘C’est Si Bon’ Gets A Trailer

C’EST SI BON, named after the classic French tune made famous by the likes of Eartha Kitt, takes place at a Korean music bar where folk singers come to get made and noticed. Set in the 1960s, the film will follow the rise of a group of musicians as they face stiff competition in both music and love. Geun Tae meets the likes of Hyung Joo and Chang Sik, but each of them soon finds their muse and potential love interest in the form of socialite Ja Young.

The trailer already boasts an incredible cast and brilliant soundtrack, with both classical Korean folk songs, and great adaptations of famous western songs too. Director Kim Hyun Seok has already proved himself with a range of genres in films such as YMCA BASEBALL TEAM, CYRANO AGENCY, and 11:00 AM. Legendary actor Kim Yun Seok, who had a double whammy at last year’s London Korean Film Festival of HAEMOO and HWAYI A MONSTER BOY, as well as having starred in blockbusters WOOCHI and THE THIEVES, takes the role of an older Geun Tae while Jung Woo takes on the same character in his 20s.

C’EST SI BON is released in Korea, the US and Canada in February. It stars Kim Yun Seok, Jung Woo, Kim Hee Ae, Han Hyo Joo, Jang Hyun Sung, Jin Goo, Kim In Kwon, and Kang Ha Neul.
