Ewan McGregor To Direct An ‘American Pastoral’

Ewan McGregor

It’s been confirmed that Ewan McGregor will direct AMERICAN PASTORAL in place of Phillip Noyce.

The film adaptation of Philip Roth’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel will also star McGregor, alongside Jennifer Connelly and Dakota Fanning.

AMERICAN PASTORAL follows esteemed high school athlete, Seymour “Swede” Levov. Swede, in typical fashion, marries a former beauty queen and it seems everything is going according to plan, until his daughter decides to join a revolutionary movement and commit an act of terrorism during the Vietnam War.

Filming starts this September in Pittsburgh, more news as hear it.
