Bryan Singer’s Jack The Giant Killer begins shooting in London

Hot on the heels of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, Bryan Singer and Nicholas Hoult are once again collaborating for a fantasy actioner. According to New Line/Warner Bros., JACK THE GIANT KILLER – a modern-day retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk – has begun shooting in London and is set for a summer 2012 release.

The 3D epic tells the story of Jack (Hoult), a young farmhand who accidentally opens a gateway to a world of badass giants. Released back onto earth, the giants set about reigniting an ancient war with us puny humans.

The film is also set to star Bill Nighy (PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN), Ian McShane (SEXY BEAST, DEADWOOD), Ewan McGregor (TRAINSPOTTING), and Stanley Tucci (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER).

With X-MEN: FIRST CLASS set to ignite multiplexes over the next few weeks, it’s possible that Singer and Hoult are on a winning streak, and could replicate that success next year.

Jack the Giant Killer is released June 2102
