Avatar team meet with the new Spider-Man filmmakers to discuss shooting in 3-D

The team behind the most successful film in history, Avatar, have reportedly met with Marc Webb and the producers of the planned Spider-Man reboot.  That’s right, Cameron and co. met with the (500) Days of Summer helmer and his production team about shooting the new Spidey adventure in 3D. MTV caught up with Avatar’s producer John Landau, who confirmed the exciting meet.

“Last [week] we met the director of [the next ‘Spider-Man’ film],” Landau said. “[Webb] wants to do the next one in 3D, which they’ve announced that they want to do. So, we want to try to support that as much as possible.”

“Other movies are turning to it now, some of which I agree with, some of which I don’t agree with. ‘Clash of The Titans’ is coming out in 3D; they’re converting it very hastily into 3D. I’m not in favor if that,” Landau explained. “If you want to shoot a 3D movie, shoot it in 3D.”

Landau says that the team will support any upcoming film wanting to shoot in the format.

So, Spider-Man in 3-D? Loving the concept and if there was any film franchise that we wanted to see in three dimensions then I am sure this is it.
