Controversial star Russell Crowe is set to divide fanboys everywhere, as according to Variety, he is set to play Superman’s Kryptonian father. Zack Snyder’s upcoming MAN OF STEEL has big red boots to fill following the much-loved original and Bryan Singer’s underrated SUPERMAN RETURNS. Can the aussie actor/poet/singer/nutjob bring a touch of class to the movie?
The role of Jor-El was played by the iconic Marlon Brando in the original series, for what was at the time, the highest paid cameo ever. The buzz for this film is already substantial, with the popular Snyder on board to direct, Chris Nolan producing. and Cavill starring as Krypton’s last son. Details on which accent Crowe will be using for the part are unconfirmed.
