Deadline report that 20th Century Fox and Hugh Jackman have decided that the man at the top of their shortlist to direct the next Wolverine movie is COPLAND helmer James Mangold.
The news was reported on the blog today and comes months after the film’s original helmer Darren Aronofsky jumped ship.
Antoine Fuqua and Gavin O’Connor were on the short list, but all parties involved seem to love Mangold.
Shooting on the film will start later in the year in Japan. The provisional title for the film is THE WOLVERINE and it is scripted by THE USUAL SUSPECTS writer Bryan Singer.
