It’s nearly Halloween, and come the end of the month we’ll all be looking at our DVD collection to see which movie we’ll spend the big night sat in front of, attempting to scare ourselves to death. Everyone loves a horror movie, and the UK public have been out in force voting for their favourite horror villain of all-time.

The recent poll of 1800 members of the British public was conducted by Best Offers Bingo, who asked ‘who is the best horror villain of all time?’

The results are quite interesting. Topping the poll is Hannibal Lecter, the cannibal who has appeared in no less than five movies and a recent NBC TV series, which unfortunately has just been cancelled by the network. Hannibal the Cannibal managed nearly a third of the votes with 541, closely followed by Freddy Krueger, the villain from A Nightmare On Elm Street and its many sequels, who bagged 340 votes. In third was the famous Alien from the many Alien/ Aliens movies, who bagged 190 votes. We’re promised two more films featuring the famous Xenomorph Alien in the next couple of years.
