According to Variety Matthew McConaughey has passed on a major villain role contained within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We aren’t sure which role this could be, but we’re hearing that it was potentially the bad guy in the upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.
The trade said, “the actor recently passed, leaving the search for that part still in progress. Sources say that decision should be made in the coming weeks, as production is expected to begin in early 2016.” February to be exact.
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel will return for the big-budget movie, with James Gunn once gain directing and writing.
The trade also reports that Oldboy remake actress Pom Klementieff (above) has also nabbed a part in the film.
The hunt is now on to find a villain for the film. We’ll bring you more as we get it.
