Legendary film director Brian De Palma is heading to China to direct a new film entitled Lights Out, which is being described as Daredevil-esque, and you’ll see why.

The movie will tell the story of “a blind Chinese girl unknowingly caught in a plot to expose a top-secret assassination program. Although blind, she is able to use her other heightened senses to fight back and become a hero.”

De Palma is the creative force behind such films as Scarface, Carlito’s Way, Mission: Impossible and the original Carrie.

There’s no casting as yet for Lights Out, but producers, and now De Palma, are said to be on the look out for an A-list Chinese actress to play the lead.

De Palma’s last film was the 2012 drama Passion, which starred Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace.
