The trailer for Midnight Special, a new sci-fi drama headlined by Michael Shannon and Joel Edgerton has arrived online. The film follows a father and son who go on the run after the dad learns his child possesses special powers.
Sounds a little like that Arnold Schwarzenegger starrer Maggie from earlier on this year, only with less zombies and erm, more super-powers.
This one’s a good way off with a release date set for April 15th, 2016, though we’re liking what we’re seeing so far. Kirsten Dunst and Adam Driver also star, while Shannon’s Take Shelter helmer Jeff Nichols directs.
