I Saw The Light trailer
The new I Saw The Light trailer has just hit. The Hank Williams biopic stars Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olson (both Marvel alumni) and hits cinemas in 2016.
I Saw The Light is the story of the legendary country western singer Hank Williams, who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music. The film chronicles his meteoric rise to fame and its ultimately tragic effect on his health and personal life.
Written and directed by Marc Abraham, I Saw The Light is based on Colin Escott’s award-winning biography and stars Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen, Bradley Whitford, David Krumholtz and Cherry Jones. RatPac Entertainment’s Brett Ratner and Bron Studios’ Aaron L. Gilbert produced the film, with G. Marq Roswell and Abraham. James Packer of RatPac Entertainment and Jason Cloth of Creative Wealth Media Finance executive produced. Notable director of photography Dante Spinotti was the cinematographer for the film.
Williams was a prolific country singer who died when he was just 29 years old. He recorded 35 singles (five released posthumously) that are placed in the Top 10 of the Billboard Country & Western Best Sellers chart, including 11 that ranked number one. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1961, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
The biopic will arrive in UK cinemas from February 5th, 2016, with US audiences able to catch it from March 26th, 2016.
Hiddleston also appears in Ben Wheatley’s very different High-Rise in 2016, and he is currently shooting monster epic Kong: Skull Island in Australia. He is then expected to appear in the third Thor movie, Thor: Rangarok opposite Chris Hemsworth.
