starwars

It has been confirmed that there is no post=credits sting at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, contrary to reports. The news was revealed to the US press at the official press conference for the first Star Wars movie in 12 years. None of the press attendees had seen the film.

J.J. Abrams, director of the sequel, revealed that the franchise won’t follow the also-Disney-owned Marvel in their habit of throwing on a post-credits teaser at the end of their movies.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens  stars Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. It hits UK cinemas on December 17th, and U.S. theaters on December 18th.

Here’s a brand new character poster released for the film over the weekend. It features Oscar Isaac’s character, Poe Dameron.
