It has officially started. Star Wars week is here and there are just two days until UK audiences can see the most anticipated film of the year, and three days until US audience can head to their local multiplex to see it. We’ll have lots of coverage going up on the website throughout the week, including our spoiler-free review of The Force Awakens which will hit the web as soon as the embargo lifts on Wednesday morning.
There are various initial reactions to the film gradually coming online following the film’s world premiere in Hollywood last night, though we’ll refrain from posting any here. What we will post is a few images from last night’s huge event in Hollywood. Star Wars: The Force Awakens took over three cinemas on Hollywood Boulevard and closed three blocks of the iconic strip for the event. All of the main cast members were there, including Harrison Ford, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, and saga star Billy Dee Williams.
