Alexander Skarsgard, best known for his role in TRUE BLOOD, though I prefer GENERATION KILL, will be joining the hot stuff Brit Marling in THE EAST.
The film written by Brit Marling and her THE SOUND OF MY VOICE cohort, Zal Batmanglij will be about a woman that infiltrates some sort of anarchist group. With the film being another low budget affair “the two have slipped that “We’re gonna make it this summer, by hook or by crook. It just depends on who gets to make it with us.” [Indiewire] But it looks as if Fox Searchlight will be the ones backing with some/most of the money as they have helped with ANOTHER EARTH and THE SOUND OF MY VOICE, both of which are to be released this year.
Meanwhile Alexander Skarsgard is having a mighty fine time racking up the film credits with Lars Von Triers MELANCHOLIA, the STRAW DOGS remake, another board game film in BATTLESHIP as well as co-starring with Julianne Moore and Steve Coogan in WHAT MAISIE KNEW….. sorry missed out that he voiced Moomintroll in MOOMINS AND THE COMET CHASE.
Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
