Variety is reporting that StudioCanal will co-finance and handle international sales for new Coen Brothers film; INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS.
The film, which will be produced by the Coens from their original script is the musical film which we have been hearing of over the last couple of months. It tells the story of the Dave Van Ronk during the sixties Greenwich Village scene. He was known as the ‘friendly Uncle of Greenwich Village’ and was instrumental for the folk revival. However this film will not be a faithful biopic as it is reported that there will be plenty of artistic licence.
Also producing is Scott Rudin who has previously worked with the Coens on NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and TRUE GRIT.
Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
