Watch: Calvin’s is back open for business in latest ‘Barbershop: The Next Cut’ trailer

In preparation for its US and UK release next month, Warner Bros’ recently released a new trailer for Barbershop: The Next Cut.

With its all-star barbers from Ice Cube and Anthony Anderson to music sensations Common and Cedric the Entertainer, you’ll notice that Calvin’s has undergone some major changes since we last left the shop. Most notably, the invasion of women into their once male-dominated sanctuary thanks to Draya (Nicki Minaj), Angie (Regina Hall), Jennifer (Jazsmin Lewis) and Terri (Eve).

No longer recognising their neighbourhood due to an increase in violent crimes, Calvin’s crew decide to (hash)band the community together with free cuts and styling to #savetheneighbourhood.

Based on Mark Brown’s characters, Barbershop: The Next Cut is written by Kenya Barris who pens the hilarious TV show Black-ish and Tracey Oliver.

Whilst Barbershop: The Next Cut opens in the US on April 15^th, UK audiences can make an appointment to see the film from April 19^th, 2016.
