We all know that John Boyega is set to lead out the sequel to 2013’s Pacific Rim, and that it will debut in cinemas in February 2018, but it looks like the film is getting a second lead in Scott Eastwood. The Hollywood Reporter are reporting that the actor, who will next be seen in next month’s Suicide Squad, is in early negotiations to join Pacific Rim 2, which will start rolling into production late this year.
John Boyega will play the son of the character played by Idris Elba in the first movie though its not yet known as to who Eastwood would play should he sign on the dotted line.
Steven S. DeKnight is directing the sequel, which will hit cinemas on February 23rd, 2018.
