Just yesterday we got ourselves a look at a ton of new character posters from the upcoming Power Rangers movie, and now we can bring you a new look at the villain from the movie, Rita Repulsa, played by Elizabeth Banks. More on the Rita Repulsa Power Rangers news below.
Entertainment Weekly provide our new look at Repulsa in the movie, along with the Yellow Ranger, Trini, played by Becky G. Power Rangers will open in March, although Becky spoke with the magazine about her role in the forthcoming flick.
“Rita tries to make Trini feel like she’s the weakest link of the Power Rangers,” Becky G said. “And she feels it’s easiest to go for her. Rita’s the type to play a lot of mind games, and Trini’s [thinking], “Can I really overpower Rita Repulsa or can I not?”
The cast of Power Rangers includes Bryan Cranston as the mighty Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as super-powered villain Rita Repulsa. Therangers themselves are made up from singer Becky G as Yellow RangerTrini, Ludi Lin as Black Ranger Zack, Dacre Montgomery as Red RangerJason, Naomi Scott as Pink Ranger Kimberly, and RJ Cyler as BlueRanger Billy.
Power Rangers is directed by Dean Israelite and written by John Gatins (Kong: Skull Island, Real Steel), Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama (Dracula Untold), Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (X-Men: First Class, Thor), and Max Landis (Chronicle). Producers are Power Rangers creator Haim Saban, Brian Casentini, Wyck Godfrey, and Marty Bowen.
